Towpath of Cement

Mile 107 - As near the Dam 4 Slackwater, the cliffs come so close to the edge of the water, there was no place to build a canal and there's only the remains of a towpath. Boats and barges would enter the Potomac River to navigate this section between Dam 5 and Lock 45. The towpath has been reconstructed and made of cement, built by the NPS so their trucks could navigate this section.  An excellent place to fall off into the river!

It's deep enough here you can dive off of.
