Mile 0.49 - Lock 3
Mile 0.54 - Lock 4

The Georgetown is the tourist version canal boat.  Its down right purty and has nice shiny seats with real leather mule harnesses.  It's parked infront of the NPS Visitor's Center.

Here you see a C & O Bicycle Patrol guy checking in to the Visitor's Center.  It's housed in an old building which is pretty typical for Georgetown architecture.  Georgetown is named after King George.  It was named before the revolution.

A look at lock 4 and the city surroundings.  There are many cross streets built across the towpath.
