Home on the Canal

Mile 58-59 - There are a few houses along the canal.  The Park Service wiped out a few of them around the Monocacy River a couple of years ago and I still haven't forgiven them. I think NPS has the idea that the canal should be a pristine wilderness but I like to see places like this.  I'd love to spend a week or two here, fishing and tubing the river.  (Update 2002: NPS wrecked these home too, it's just a conspicuous space now.  In a year or two, it'll be overgrown.)
